Food Presentation- Inviting versus Overwhelming
๐ Food Presentation ๐
Both of these pictures have the same foods on them, but for a child, the one on left is probably going to be more visually overwhelming to their little eyes.
The next time you present food to your kids/patients, look at how much you are putting on their plates. Consider cutting the food into smaller pieces, especially for those foods that are non-preferred.
Sometimes when we place a plate of food in front of children, they automatically think and feel that we are expecting them to eat every last bite, which in turn can cause them to refuse to eat before they even try it. By putting less food with smaller pieces on the plate, you are secretly communicating to them, "You can do it!" ... without them even knowing it!
