How many of your kids choose to eat little to nothing for dinner, and then request a bedtime snack? Isla did just this last night, so instead of saying, “No, you didn’t eat your dinner,” I used it as an opportunity for her to eat a mini-dinner. So, I offered her pickles, salami, and Parmesan cheese. She was happy, because she got her snack. I was happy, because I at least felt that I was getting some nutrition in her.
So next time your little one asks for a bedtime snack, use it as a opportunity to fill their belly with a fruit, veggie, or meat that they may not have otherwise eaten!
